Everything downtown tilts toward Pike Place Market, where the 1907 stalls meet the climb down to Elliott Bay and the ferries. Pike and Pine carry the foot traffic up from the Market to Westlake, past the Hammering Man and the monorail, and the storefronts worth knowing hold on beneath the office towers.
