Dating to circa 1840, this 18KT and 9KT gold ring is designed as a richly dimensional flower, centered by a large faceted garnet surrounded by eight smaller garnets forming its petals. This ring is especially interesting in profile. The central garnet rises prominently above the surrounding stones in a crown-like setting, giving the flower depth rather than presenting it as a flat cluster. Beneath, the shoulders transition into sculptural foliate forms, allowing the botanical design to continue
