Blurring the lines between the natural and the cultivated, The Avant Gardens observes visionary and unusual gardens in all their varying forms. Exploring the out of the ordinary, this book showcases a wide range of projects that reflect the shifting mindsets and cultures of their locale, challenging our notion of what a garden can be, and how they can make us feel. Taking into consideration climate change and biodiversity, The Avant Gardens celebrates the cultivated natural world.
