Li Bien Scent Bottle Set of 3 in Box

Available from Ballard Consignment when we last checked. Sold from the shop’s own store; the price there is the one that counts.

A Masterpiece of Miniature Art. Discover the delicate beauty of the ancient Chinese art of Li Bien, "inside" painting, with this exquisite set of three scent bottles. Each bottle in this collection is a unique work of art, hand-painted not on the exterior, but from the inside of the glass. Artists use tiny, angled brushes inserted through the narrow neck to paint these intricate designs in reverse, a technique that requires immense skill and steady hands.
