In this book, Gwen Heeney shows that what was once an industrial technique - brickmaking - now holds an interest for many ceramic artists, due to a growth in architectural ceramics since the 1990s. Practical advice about tools, firing and transport is covered as well as a look at the work of a group of international artists who use brick in their artwork.
