Mi’kmaq, Waycobah, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia Shianne Gould, daughter of Loretta Gould, has been painting since she was a child. As a teenager she began painting more frequently perfecting her skills. Now, as a mother, she finds her son inspiring her in some little way in every painting she creates. Shianne often paints using vivid and vibrant colors, exploring themes surrounding family, womanhood and our relationship with mother earth.
