Beauvais Pickled Red Beets (Rødbeder) Made with beets harvested mainly in Denmark, these have a nice balance of sweet and tart. Beets are harvested from September to December and quickly poured into glass jars to preserve freshness. Delicious on open sandwiches – especially with liver pate or other meats – or served with "biksemad" – a hash of leftover root vegetables and meat or sausage. Ready to eat.
