Chinese Mother & Child Porcelain Figurine

Available from Ballard Consignment when we last checked. Sold from the shop’s own store; the price there is the one that counts.

This hand-painted porcelain figurine depicts a tender scene of a mother and child, finished in a vibrant combination of cobalt blue and cinnabar red glazes. The mother is dressed in a traditional long-sleeved robe featuring intricate lotus floral patterns and decorative borders, while the child reaches up in an expressive pose, wearing a coordinated red jacket and yellow trousers.
