Ray Monde moved from Australia to Seattle in 2019 and immediately fell in love with its wild coasts and outstanding natural beauty. Every day he crosses the sound from his home on Bainbridge Island to his studio in Pioneer Square. He sketches on the top deck of the Washington State Ferry and creates these layered collages inspired the ever-changing Salish Sea.
