Peace Lily and Cross

This original painting by L.W. Barker , dated 2016, features a poignant and symbolic composition. A simple wooden cross stands against a sky divided by a dark, stormy cloud with a bolt of lightning on one side and a radiant, golden light on the other. In the foreground, white lilies bloom near a textured, snowy base, representing hope and renewal. Housed in a dark, beveled-wood frame, this folk-art piece offers a powerful visual narrative of faith and the calm after the storm.
