Late 19th C. American Aesthetic reverse profile gold metal leaf frame with applied ornament

This frame has an oval sand textured mat and the original worn velvet liner. The top edge has curving leaves with a broad, textured profile that rounds downward with leaves and flowers at the corners. The flat back edge has large beads. Original gilding.
