Mid to late 19th C. American gold leaf and applied ornament fluted cove frame

Available from Atelier Richard Boerth when we last checked. Sold from the shop’s own store; the price there is the one that counts.

This frame has burnished, fluted ogee with corner leaves rising to the leaf and berry top edge overlaid with crossed ribbons at the centers and straps at the corners. Cove sides with a narrow foliate motif at the back edge. White over paint partially removed.
