Late 19th C. American gold leaf fluted cove frame with applied ornament

Available from Atelier Richard Boerth when we last checked. Sold from the shop’s own store; the price there is the one that counts.

This frame has a flat liner with a narrow ornamented band and a flat step. Delicate flutes and acanthus leaves in the cove. Large reeded top edge with wide side coves and a narrow leaf motif at the back edge. Original gilding.
