Late 19th C. American, gold metal leaf and applied ornament, sloped frieze frame

Available from Atelier Richard Boerth when we last checked. Sold from the shop’s own store; the price there is the one that counts.

This frame has a flat sight edge and a narrow lamb’s tongue band. The flat frieze slopes upward to cove and the top curling leaf and stick motif. The sides are coves with a short lower flat. Original gilding.
