Early 19th C. French applied ornament Empire cove frame

Available from Atelier Richard Boerth when we last checked. Sold from the shop’s own store; the price there is the one that counts.

This frame has a leaf design at the sight edge and a narrow cove rising to a flat band then a broad cove up to the convex top edge. The broad cove has the typical French Empire delicate scrolling leaves and tendrils at the corners. The original gold leaf has been removed.
