Late 19th C. American, gold leaf applied ornament, fluted cove

Available from Atelier Richard Boerth when we last checked. Sold from the shop’s own store; the price there is the one that counts.

This frame rises in a cove with fluting with leaf corners to a leaf and berry top edge with leaf encased balls at the centers and straps at the corners. Cove sides with dentil motif at the back edge. Original gilding. Missing liner.
