Mid 19th C. American gold leaf cove frame with applied ornament

Available from Atelier Richard Boerth when we last checked. Sold from the shop’s own store; the price there is the one that counts.

This frame has a flat sight edge with a foliate motif and a half round profile above. The sanded cove rises to an overhanging, slightly convex top edge set with twigs and extended leaves and flowers. Side coves with a chain design at the back edge. Original gilding.
