20th C. Edward Curtis “Orotone” / “Goldtone” style frame

This frame with its’ stipple gesso texture has a cove at the sight edge rising to a convex profile with a cove below. The top edge is convex with a “batwing” applied corner. Flat sides. Roman gilded finish. This frame replicates the early 20th C. style frame favored by Edward Curtis for his photographs of native Americans.
