Late 19th C. American applied ornament and gilded ornate cove frame.

Available from Atelier Richard Boerth when we last checked. Sold from the shop’s own store; the price there is the one that counts.

This frame has two liners with a running leaf bud design at the outer edge of the second. The cove has a profusion of curling leaves and flowers with fanned leaves at the corners.. The high relief top has leaves and fruits between prominent acanthus leaf corners. Side coves with egg and dart back edge. Gold leaf portions visible under bronze overpaint.
