Kayo Nomura is a contemporary Japanese ceramicist celebrated for her "archaic" aesthetic that blends traditional earthenware techniques with whimsical, organic forms. A graduate of Musashino Art University and the Tajimi City Pottery Design and Technical Center, she utilizes primitive firing methods ( Doki ) to create tactile, stone-like textures and soulful animal figurines that feel like unearthed relics. Her work is a mainstay in high-end Japanese galleries, favored for its ability to bridge
